This is a GREAT episode! I know, I know I always say that, but listen. Not only do I LOVE Jane, not only did she play a big part in my first TEDx talk, but she’s also just so, so knowledgable. Jane Pike is also known as Confident Rider and is an equestrian mental skills coach. As a coach, she helps riders work on their confidence and performance mindset through her JoyRide programme. In this episode we talk about confidence, mindset, procrastination and so much more. And we also look at the cross over between our work, passions and so much else when it comes to mindset.
Confidence, mindset, procrastination and being you with Jane Pike
In this episode, we talk about how Jane got involved with the mental skills side of horsemanship, and the shift that’s happened that now combines our skills and technical ability in the saddle with what’s going on in the rider’s mind. We talk through Jane’s current work with riders who ride for pleasure and the issues they face like anxiety and lack of confidence, and professional riders who are seeking to gain the edge in their performance – things like why the results differ between competing at home vs. riding at a show.
We then move onto discuss in a lot more detail confidence, mindset, procrastination, and really owning who you are. It’s a great episode.
If you loved Jane (and I KNOW you will!), here’s all the places to find her…
…and if you fancy a laugh here’s my first TEDx talk where I try and pronounce Jane’s hometown.
