KA Equestrian has recently rebranded and updated its existing logo to a gorgeous inky blue with crisp clear lettering. The website rebrand followed. Rebranding your business, changing your colours and updating your logo is a huge undertaking, no matter what size of business. Branding and a logo is so personal and so specific – that’s why people have Pantone references when it comes to colours and brand guidelines that suppliers need to follow. It’s personal. It’s specific and it matters. Now with social media, your logo and branding is even more important and it’s not just on printed material and not just on your website, it’s across all your social channels too. It helps form people’s first impression of you and it needs to represent what you’re about. Quite a lot of pressure for some colours and letters!!
I caught up with the lovely Karen from KA Equestrian who told me all about her rebrand – the ideas behind it and more…
So, why did you decide to rebrand KA Equestrian?
I’d been unhappy with our original logo for a while – not really in love with it at all but when I’d approached our design guys last year about looking at the branding they convinced me there was nothing wrong with it and there would be no value in re-branding. Fast forward to this spring, we’ve been redesigning our website and I thought now was the time to really create a new visual for KA Equestrian.
What does your new brand say about your business – how does it represent KA Equestrian?
I wanted something clean, simple, strong. Nothing too swirly or fussy and something that better represents our very simple vision of how to train and look after the horses in our care. Our business philosophy, approach and system ‘The KA Way’ is assured, straight forward and clear and I wanted our new logo and branding to represent that.
How do you feel about the new logo?
I’m delighted with our new look, I feel it absolutely reflects our business and approach to training and caring for horses while at the same time doesn’t intimidate but encourages people to contact us. I hope others agree.
