Ever felt a bit overwhelmed about which social media platform/s you should be on? There are a lot of them, aren’t there? This podcast will help you answer the question ‘Which social media platform should I be on?’ and, hopefully, reduce that feeling of overwhelm that so often accompanies that question.

Which social media platform should I be on?

Whether you’re just starting out in the world of social media or you’re looking to add more platforms to your existing offering, this episode talks through how to pick where to be, what questions to ask yourself, and how to get the maximum from them when you’ve made your choice.

There’s a whole lot of choice out there when it comes to social media platforms, and it can be really overwhelming. Trying to decide whether or not to be on Facebook, or Instagram, or TikTok, or Twitter, or Pinterest or any of the others, can feel HUGE.

And that can also encourage people to try and be on all of them, at the full capacity, all of the time. And that’s not always possible.

You could always be on more social media platforms, and new ones spring up all of the time. And that will make you ask yourself where you should be a lot of the time. But the thing is, by looking at who uses them, the kind of content that really works on the different platforms, and so much more, you can make the right decision (or decisions) for you!

And just before I sign off on this blog, I wanted to say that we often feel we need to be in all the places all the time. But we really don’t. And what’s more, I advise clients to start with one or two at a time. Then, as you learn one and start to feel more confident using it, you can consider adding another (of you want to, and if it makes sense for your brand and your fans). A bit like spinning plates. You don’t want to try and start six of them going at the same time. It rarely ends well. Particularly if you want to do any other work at the same time!
